Hello Friday I am so glad to see you. After yesterday's announcement regarding the 2015 Scrapbook & Cards Today calender and planner I thought I would give you a peek at my project from the 2014 calendar.
This layout was super fun to create all the products including the stamps were from Stampin' Up. Not only did the 2014 calendar come with custom sketches it also included free custom digital cut files and techniques with step out instructions and photos. The word bubbles, tag and heart included on my layout were just a few of the free digital cutting files.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Patterned Paper Stampin' Up, Embossing Powder Stampin Up, Stamps Stampin Up, Hemp Twine, Butterfly Stick Pins Jillibean Soup, Wood Stars Studio Calico, Corner Rounder, White Colorbox Ink, Scallop Border Die Spellbinders, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, Silhouette Cutting System/Images, and font Veteran Typewriter)
I can only share the layout I don't have the original sketch anymore. My technique was a shadow stamping to look like chalkboard. To see more fun layouts and great techniques like this don't miss out on the 2015 planner.
Happy Scrapping

Friends & Wine | Paper Smooches
Happy Wednesday crafters I hope you are doing well. May and June are notoriously crazy at our house so I have found blogging has taken a slight backseat to life. I think with school getting out tomorrow I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Then I can mark another school year off the list.
In the mean time I have a layout to share featuring several Paper Smooches stamps and dies. I love to pull out stamps and dies and mix them up. There are so many different Paper Smooches goodies on this layout I am not sure I can even count them.
(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Patterned Paper My Minds Eye, Doodlebug Enamel Dots, Alphas Jillibean Soup, Button Jillibean Soup, Hemp Twine, Felt, DMC Embroidery Floss, Wood Veneer Heart Studio Calico, Ink VersaFine/VersaMagic/Memento Luxe, Circle Punches, Paper Smooches Stamps and Metal Dies)
I combined several different ideas to create my title. First I stamped the word "friend" with VersaMagic Ink then using embroidery floss I outline stitched the stamped image. The original stamp also said "friend" I needed this to be plural so I used an "s" from another word in the same stamp set. Using some tape I isolated the letter in question thus adding it to my title. I then used a metal die to create a felt ampersand. I love the play on textures these items give my layout. Here are some additional close up photos showing off more details of my layout.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping.

LOVE LOVE LOVE card | Jillibean Soup
Hello crafters happy Thursday. I have a simple stamped Jillibean Soup card to share with you today. The "LOVE" stamp featured on my card can be found on the Heart Healthy Red Bean Soup large clear stamp set. This stamp is one of my favorites. I love the idea of stacking the stamped image with gradient colors and I can visualize myself using this again on a layout.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper and Stamp, Color Box/Memento Luxe Inks, Studio Calico Mist, Heart Sizzix Die)
Unlike yesterday's layout when I finished up this card I decided it needed to be dirtied up so I topped the card off with some mist spatters. I like the effect the mist splatters has on this project. Another design concept I notice myself do a lot lately is color blocking. Color blocking is basically grouping like colors together. In my card I matched the ink to the patterned paper to create a color blocked greeting.
Happy Stamping!

When in doubt scraplift yourself | Technique Tuesday
Hello crafters and happy Tuesday. What do
you do when inspiration takes a nose dive and your assignments start to
pile up? We all go though periods when our creativity takes a nose dive.
One of my simplest tricks to combat the creative blues is scraplifting
myself. Scraplifting can come in many forms. It can be topic based,
designed based, technique based and even color based. Today's layout is
both topic and design based scraplifting.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Patterned Paper Bo Bunny/American Crafts/Bella Blvd/KI Memories/Echo Park, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, Stamps Technique Tuesday, Black Ink VersaFine, Digital Cutting Files Technique Tuesday, Arrow Embellishment Studio Calico, Alpha Stickers Basic Grey, Corner Rounder We R Memory Keepers, Stick Pins, Clothes Pin, Circle Metal Dies Technique Tuesday and Veteran Typewriter)
All the photos on this layout were taken with my iphone. I love how taking photos with my phone has brought the spontaneity back to my photos. These photos tell a great story I wouldn't have gotten otherwise but I can't get away with blowing the photos up too big. Add this to the list of using the grid formula to scrapbook this story. It just makes sense when using square Instagram photos you have taken on your phone.
Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Crafting :)
My original layout was called Timbers
and was featured in the spring issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today. This
layout is a basic grid formula which I think is timeless. While I reach
for the grid formula often it's not often when 2 of my layouts look so
similar. There are slight differences between the 2 projects but they are not huge. Not only did I use the
grid formula, I scrapbooked the same topic and intermixed my grid design
with patterned papers and stamped elements.

May Colour Suite
Hello crafters and welcome to the May Colour Suite a monthly colour challenge I put together for my friends at Scrapbook and Cards Today.
This month's Colour Suite is my representation of spring in colour, a little bit of grey followed by a splash of colour.
One of my favorite colour combinations is teal and red the colours I selected for this month's challenge are not too far off from this. I really shopped my stash for all the goodies I used on this layout. I dug out one of my all time favorite Jillibean Soup patterned papers along with some older Pebbles and Heidi Swapp. I also dabbled with a little bit of misting. I am coming to realize misting is much like stamping I like it when I can contain and control it.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Patterned Paper Pebbles/Heidi Swapp/American Crafts/My Minds Eye/Jillibean Soup/Studio Calico, Die Cut Bella Blvd/Chic Tags, Various Stars Studio Calico, Decorative Brads My Minds Eye/American Crafts, Button Crate Paper, Wood Epoxy Embellishment American Crafts, Sticker My Minds Eye, Alpha Metal Die My favorite Things, misc punches, Stamps Technique Tuesday, Ink VersaFine Black, Enamel Dots My Minds Eye, Hemp Twine, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, Scallop Border Metal Die Spellbinders, Silhouette Cutting System and Image, Mist Heidi Swapp, and font Veteran typewriter downloaded from the internet)
This month I invited my friend Michelle Woerner to join me and take the Colour Suite challenge. I was fortunate enough to meet Michelle at CHA W-2013 she is a card maker and it's crazy our paths had never crossed before since she happens to live about 15 minutes from me. I am super excited to have a card maker joining me this month, I am always focusing on layouts and the colour suite is meant to inspire no matter what the project.
Thanks for joining me today for the May Colour Suite. To read more about this challenge or to check out my past challenges don't forget to make your way over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website and Blog.

Happy 8th Birthday PageMaps
Good morning crafters today I'd like to wish PageMaps and Becky Fleck a happy 8th birthday. I have been a huge sketch fan since I started scrapbooking 16 years ago. Sketches are flexible, customizable and a great starting point for any layout.
This is the sketch I chose to work with this month. It screams "Summer" with those Polaroid frames all lined up in a row. At first glance I stayed true to the sketch but take another look I added another photo, shifted the title to the left, added another row of frames and moved the journaling.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper/Alphsa/Wood Flag/Stamps/Die Cuts/Wood Sprinkles/Wooden Nickles/Corrugated Shape/Stickers, Maya Road Mist, VersaFine Ink, Hemp Twine, Clothes Pin, Silhouette Cutting System and PageMaps digital cut files, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and font Veteran Typewriter)

I admit one of the main reasons I chose this sketch this month was I love Polaroid frames but you don't like them as much as me they can easily be taken out of your design.
PageMaps is having it's 8th birthday celebration all month long with lots of fun give-a-ways. Take note of the celebration calendar and don't miss out on all the fun (psst my day is 5/15).
Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting.
