It's hard to tell from these photos but the dog bone and paw print are felt. The texture gets a bit lost in translation in the photos. I love the idea of mixing up textures on my layouts and adding fabric is so natural for me since I also sew.

Thanks for stopping by today and joining me for my very first Paper Smooches blog hop I hope you have a wonderful fabulous holiday. Happy Crafting!

Good Eats | Jillibean Soup

Happy Wednesday with Thanksgiving coming up I thought we should talk about food. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you know I cook quite a bit and I tag my photos #whatsfordinner.

Recently I decided to organize my recipes. As you can see from this photo my stack of reciepes was in desperate need of a make over.

So I went to the office supply store and got a 3 ring binder, some dividers and page protectors and this is what I made.

One of my friends suggested I post my weekly menus so after the holiday I am going to take a stab at giving you a weekly glance into my kitchen.

In other news I am super excited to be adding Paper Smoochies to the list of companies I have the pleasure of working with. I have known Kim for years and I was thrilled and honored when she asked me to join her design team. Make sure you join me tomorrow for my first Paper Smoochies blog hop.

Elle's Studio | November Guest Cards

Happy Thursday today I am showing off my final Elle's Studio projects; a couple of what I call edge to edge cards. Edge to edge cards simply use all the space rather than having a border.

Fullerton-Birthday-Card

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Elle's Studio Pattered Paper/Tag, Fiskars Scallop Punch, My Minds Eye Enamel Dot, Sizzix Heart Die, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, and Jillibean Soup Alphas)

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Elle's Studio Patterned Paper/Tags/Die Cuts, Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars and Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher)

My cards tend to lean on the more simple side. I often find layers overwhelming so I often design on cardstock or go with this edge to edge design concept.

Elle's Studio | November Guest Day 3

Happy Wednesday folks. I got distracted last week with the Colour Suite and I have a few more Elle's Studio projects to share.

Fullerton-100%Grant

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Elle's Studio Patterned Paper/Tags/Die Cuts, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, Cork Arrows from Fancy Pants Designs, Jillibean Soup Alphas, Studio Calico wood veneer, misc. felt/button, Fiskars Border Punch, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, Technique Tuesday Circle Dies, Silhouette Cutting System/Images, and fonts Old Sans Black & Veteran Typewriter)

I am a little obsessed with the circles lately. Rather than creating this look by using a Silhouette Cutting System I used circle dies instead. I think the circles are great vehicles for the Elle's Studio die cuts and tags. I combined them with felt, cardstock and patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned tomorrow for 2 Elle's Studio cards.

November Colour Suite

Happy Friday welcome to the November Colour Suite a monthly colour challenge I put together for my friends at Scrapbook and Cards Today. This month I built the colour suite from a cabernet red. I paired the red with a pink and yellow and topped it with a couple of neutrals.

I went a little wild with the machine stitching. My normal instinct is clean straight stitching but I have been loving the stitched circles my friend Nicole Nowosad has been using on her projects. So I followed her lead and outlined the existing circles on the Crate Paper patterned paper.

This month I invited my long time friend Anabelle O'Malley to join me and take the Colour Suite challenge. I hope you check out how Anabelle used the suite because we took 2 very unique approaches.

Thanks for joining me today for the November Colour Suite. To read more about this challenge or to check out my past challenges don't forget to make your way over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website and Blog.

Elle's Studio | November Guest Day 2

Greeting and welcome to my second Elle's Studio guest post. Today I am going to focus on Penelope Collection. Penelope might just be my favorite of the 3 collections. It's very girlie and I adore the wonderful versatile colors of this line.

Fullerton-Family

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Elle's Studio Patterned Paper/Die Cuts/tags, Hemp Twine, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, Wood Veneer Heart, Jillibean Soup Alphas, Maya Road Star stick pin, and font Veteran Typewriter)

I had tons of fun with this layout. I really had fun layering all the tags and die cuts. While this line reads girlie I think it can go just about any direction depending on the colors you decide to focus on.

Thanks for hanging out with me today. Happy Crafting
