You are never too old for bubbles | Jillibean Soup

Happy Tuesday crafters now that I am back in the regular rotation at Jillibean Soup I have accumulated quite a few projects to post. Combine this with my infrequent blog updates this summer and yup it means I have projects to share. I tend to forget what order they go up on the blog so I thought I would just start with a recent favorite.

This layout began with the Jillibean Soup placemat. I am going to fess up to the fact that besides the polaroid frames (which I am obsessed with) this is the only other placemat I have used. I often see clean lines when I design and while I love the designs of the placemats I sometimes find myself super intimidated by their complexity. Yeah I am making it way more than it needs to be I know that. I took the plunge and this is what I came up with.

I really love how I managed to use the placemat while still maintaining those lines I am always looking for when I scrap. Have a fully conquered my neurotic fears of the Jillibean Soup placemats ... yeah probably not but I am proud to say I have one on desk right now going onto a future project.

If you are looking for more fabulous ideas on how to use the Jillibean Soup circle placemat make sure you check out the summer issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today. It was one of the featured products in the designer challenge column.

Let's take a Road Trip | Technique Tuesday

Happy Monday crafters. I feel the summer is slowly slipping away from me and I wish I could stop time before the beautiful weather goes south for the winter. Today I am reminiscing with some photos taken a few summer's ago.

I created this layout for my friends at Technique Tuesday using 2 brand new stamp sets from Ali Edwards: Take Me Away and Travel With Flair.

I created the circle grid elements using my Silhouette Software to specifically fit the Technique Tuesday flair stamps. Then I played a bit with dimension layering the stamped circle elements using my favorite foam squares.

Thanks for joining me today and happy crafting.

I have to admit I went a little colour crazy this month. You know how I love my brights. With fall just around the corner I wanted to get one last dose of my bright and bold.

This month I invited one of my good friends Lisa Dickinson to join me and take the colour suite challenge. I am going to be a dork here and just say while Lisa is a friend of mine I am also a closet stalker fan-girl of her work and I am honored to have her join me today. I hope you check out her take on this months colours.

Thanks for joining me today for the July Colour Suite. To read
more about this challenge or to check out my past challenges don't
forget to make your way over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website and Blog.

Happy crafting friends

Well hello there

Good Morning crafters seems the month of August is my nemesis. I always have such great intentions but this month always seems to get the best of me. So as usual I am jumping back in with both feet. I have tons of projects sitting in the que needing to be posted I just need to get back into the habit of regular posting.

I am starting off today with one of my favorite Jillibean Soup layouts from the last few months. I usually journal on all my projects it's kind of a personal rule I have but this layout seemed to say enough without words.

I have to say this layout idea has been on my "to do" list for quite some time. I pulled the photos months ago I just needed the right papers to make it happen. Looks like Jillibean was just the right ticket.

Thanks for your patience in my lack of posting. Be good, be happy and have a fabulous day!
