I tend to get into crafting obsessions. These days my current obsession is working with the negative space from cut titles. I really like to put texture in that space, in this layout I reached for my fabric drawer and used felt.

Thanks for stopping by today the next stop on the blog hop is

Melissa Mann's blog.

Don't forget to eligible for the $50 VISA giveaway you need to leave a comment on each designers blog. Comments for the give away will be open until Monday 7/2 at Midnight EST.

From 1 Page to 2

Last Summer I did this fun sports layout for Scrapbooking and Cards Today. I was assigned a 1 page layout but when I started this layout I immediately saw how it could easily be transformed into a 2 page layout so I made a 2nd page for my personal book.

2009-champs
The grid layout is one of my favorite go to designs and can easily be transformed from a 1 page layout to a 2 page layout. I designed this grid to be a little whimsical so I didn't have to obsess about how everything lined up.

Got more Cards ...

I have been posting tons of cards so I thought you might need to see a couple more. I swear these are the last ones I have to share for for at least a month (I think).

Hope-youre-swell-card

(Supplies Used: Cardstock from Bazzill, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper/Stamp/Stickers, VersaFine Black Ink, Corner Rounder, and brad from Basic Grey)

If you are wondering about the paper bow I found the pattern on Pinterest. The pattern comes with a printable chevron pattern I printed it in gray scale and traced it onto Jillibean Soup patterned paper. The pattern also comes with additional length to cover a small box I simply omitted this portion of the pattern. If you prefer to skip Pinterest you can find the pattern at Ellinee.com.

How-u-doin-card
(Supplies Used: Cardstock from Bazzill, Jillibean Soup patterned paper/twine/stickers/white corrugated sheet, Corner Rounder, Marvey Butterfly Punch, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, and Bazzill Brads)

I think I put at least 50 miles on the car yesterday running around town in what felt like circles. Today I plan on locking myself in my office and getting a little crafty ... at least that's the plan I have in my head.

June Colour Suite

Welcome to the June Colour Suite a monthly color challenge I put together for Scrapbooking and Cards Today. If my layout looks a bit familiar you aren't seeing double. I promise there is a method to my madness. I decided to explore some ideas behind color theory to be shared at a future date.

June_2012_challenge

I know it's my imagination but I always think all my Colour Suites tend to look the same so I really went out of my way to make this month's challenge look different. Here's my layout ...

Hello-summer-SCT-analog-colo
(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Patterned Paper from Echo Park/My Minds Eye, Stamps Technique Tuesday, Ink VersaFine Black, Chipboard Accents Pink Paislee/My Minds Eye, Button My Minds Eye, Washi Tape Love my Tapes/My Minds Eye, DMC Floss White, Silhouette Cutting System/Image, Spellbinders Banner Die, Corner Rounder, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and fonts Veteran Typewriter/journlaing and Bebas/Title)

Hello-summer-SCT-ana-01

Hello-summer-SCT-ana-02
My layout is a literal interpretation of this month's colour suite. And although I though the peach was a hard color for me to work with the product I ended up using on my layout really matched nicely.

Thanks for joining me this month to read more about this challenge and to catch up with past months make sure you check out the Scrapbooking and Cards Website.

Got Cards Part 2

Last week I promised you a week of cards and then I got sidetracked. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be I am easily distracted and my latest distraction was a mini road trip to Vancouver BC to help out my friends at Scrapbooking and Cards Today with the Burnaby Crop & Create.

My next set of cards are all made with some of my favorites from Lily Bee Designs

Happy-happy-happy-Card-LBD

I love the idea of window cards so I used a 1 1/4" circle punch to create a window to house a fun epoxy embellishment I made with the Epiphany Crafts 1" Circle Punch and a Lily Bee sticker.

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Lily Bee Patterned Paper/Journaling Cards, Stampin Up Scallop Punch and Ribbon, Epiphany Crafts 1" Circle Punch/Epoxy Circles/Metal Charms Round, Silhouette Cutting System and Corner Rounder)

This card is a monogram card. The ribbon is wrapped around the card multiple times. Once it's all unwrapped it makes a fun necklace.

Did I mention it's June? I still can't believe it I didn't get much done last week so if you need me I will be holed up in my office working on all kind of goodness.

June Spellbinders/PageMaps

I know I say this every month but wow I can't believe it's June. Half the year is over and the kids will be out of school in 2 weeks.

The June Spellbinders release is called Whimsy.
