Card Catch Up Part 3 | Jillibean Soup

Happy Wednesday crafters! It's taken me a few days to get back with you with my final catch up card post. I have been busy putting together kits for my Crop n' Create Burnaby classes and I just finished up a Jillibean Soup tutorial for May. Lots of good stuff coming soon.

Today's cards all seem to follow a simple formula I have been going to over and over the last few months. I think I might have to seek help for my rounded corner/Tiny Attacher addiction. I can't seem to make a card without using either tool.

JBS-Hello-Beautiful-Card
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Jillibean Soup Card Base/Patterned Paper/Stickers/Stick Pin, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, and We R Memory Keepers Corner Rounder)

JBS-thanks-card
(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper/Die Cuts/Stickers/Stamp, Ink VersaFine, Twine, My Minds Eye Enamel Dot, and We R Memory Keepers Corner Rounder)

JBS-Gratitude-Card

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper/Stickers/Corragated Shape, Paint, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, and We R Memory Keepers Corner Rounder)

I think if I looked a bit harder I know I could come up with a few more cards to share but I think I have given you plenty to chew on for a while.

Card Catch-Up Part 2 | Jillibean Soup

Welcome to day 2 of card catch up. I spent some time going thru cards last night and I found tons I have yet to post. I am hanging my head in shame. I spent so much time showing layouts and projects I simply neglected my cards.

This series of cards might be my favorites. It's so hard to pick.

JBS-Bean-Card
(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper/Kraft Paper/Stamps, Gemstones, Stampin Up scallop punch, Ink VersaFine, and Sticks JoAnn's)

JBS-Sunshine-Card

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper/Die Cut, Mini Clothes Pins, Circle Punch, and White Twine)

JBS-Card-XOXO

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper/Coin Envelope/Banner Stickers/Alpha Stickers, Heart Sizzix Die Cut, and Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher)

Each one of today's cards has a little something special going on. The first card I stamped the green beans and cut out the images and layered them with gemstones. I also cut the stems from a darker shade of green. Yup I am a bit of a crazy perfectionist. The second card I create a banner with a circle punch. To do this simply punch 4 circles from your favorite patterned paper, fold 3 in half and glue them back to back. Then I use the 4th punched circle as a base. I then threaded them as if they were beads. The final card has a patch work heart I created with triangular banner stickers. To create this simply make a pattern with your favorite stickers on plain white cardstock then die cut your shape.

Card Catch-Up Part 1 | Jillibean Soup

Greetings today I am playing a little round of card catch up. I realized I have a bunch of cards I have done for Jillibean Soup over the past few months that I have yet to put up here on my blog. I found so many cards I haven't posted that I plan on spreading them out over a couple of days.

I can't believe I found so many cards that have yet to made there way to my blog. I think I might have enough cards for at least 2 more card day posts. So I guess we will be rounding the week off with a card-o-palooza.

Have a wonderful day and don't forget to get a little messy with some paper and glue.

Digital Die Lines | Techniue Tuesday

Howdy crafters happy Tuesday. Today I have a little news from my friends at Technique Tuesday. They are now selling digital die lines to coordinate with some of their favorite stamps. I got the opportunity to work with some of the lines in advance and I have really cute layout to show off that features both the stamps and dies. Let's be honest I am a perfectionist scrapbooker so these digital files are perfect for my brand of scrapbooking.

I raided my daughters itouch for photos. I loved the little treasures I found hiding away in her Instagram account. I created this fun block design mixing the photos with stamped cardstock blocks that I embellished with the Smile Big Keep Calm stamp.

The overall quality of the photos wasn't the best so I opted to use smaller photos on this project. This grid was created with a 2x2 block system which is balanced out with a large journaling/title block.

Thanks for stopping by today happy crafting!

I totally got sucked in by the green and grey of this Colour Suite and just used small amounts of the other colors. I am sure this was all influended by the photos I chose to scrapbook.

This month I asked my friend and fellow Scrapbook & Cards Today designer Emily Pitts to join me and play with the Colour Suite. Make sure you checked out her take on the challenge at her blog I love that her project is completely opposite from mine.

Thanks for joining me today for the April Colour Suite. To read
more about this challenge or to check out my past challenges don't
forget to make your way over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website and Blog.

Little Lights | Jillibean Soup

Good morning crafters and happy Friday! Today I have a little decorative light set I made for Jillibean Soup to share with you. I found the original project on Pinterest.

JBS-Lights-03

JBS-Lights-04

(Supplies Used: Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper, battery powered light set and dixie cups)

I made this project using the Jillibean's Soup Staples. I thought it would be fun to show off all the colors so I covered each dixie cup; which acts as the lamp shade, with a different color. To make these little shades I simply covered the dixie cups with patterned paper and punched a hole in the bottom and fed the bulb through the hole. If this project looks familiar it's because this isn't the first decorative light set I have made. It's such a simple project I just couldn't resist making several new versions of the same project.

Happy crafting!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle | Jillibean Soup

Blog confession ... most days my blog posts at 5 am because I blogged in advance. Most likely the night before. I am blogging today in real time. I know total lame confession but sometimes I feel a little off blogging in advance, it seems phony. I have weird hang ups right.

I was thinking this morning about recycling. It's something we try to do a lot of around our house. I know we are no where near where we should be but I figure we do pretty good. I am sure if you are still reading this mornings ramblings you are wondering what this has to do with scrapbooking. I swear there was a point to all this. I used to think every layout had to be a new and fresh but then I stepped back and said why not recycle ideas I love. Today's project is a layout featuring Jillibean Soup and if it looks familiar it should it is almost a direct copy of a layout I did for Lily Bee called Normal Child. Check out the link to my original layout.

JBS-So-Cute

(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Jillibean Soup/Patterned Paper/Corrugated Paper/Stickers/Alphas/Twine/Silhouette Cut Files, Stampin Up Scallop Punch, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, Silhouette Cutting System and various fonts downloaded from the internet)

JBS-So-Cute-02

I often scraplift my own work but in the process the layout generally ends up morphing into something totally new. This layout is almost a direct copy of the first layout from the long title quote to the hearts to the banner ribbon cuts hanging from the main design block. So today I am going to say copy yourself and embrace it. Sometimes there is no reason to reinvent the wheel.

Happy crafting and go recycle some ideas!
