Tutorials | Jillibean Soup

Happy Friday crafters. Another week has gone by at a wicked pace where does the time seem to go. Yesterday my daughter turned 13 (hence my frequent recent comments about time flying by). Enough of my nonsense let's get talking paper and glue.

For the past few months I have changed up what I have been doing for Jillibean Soup. Rather than doing my standard layouts I have been putting together a tutorial every month.Today I am showing off my first tutorial project a layout with a quilt inspired chevron pattern that I hand cut.

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Jillibean Soup Patterned Paper/Kraft Paper/Alphas/Stickers/Die Cuts, Stampin Up Scallop Punch, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, and font Veteran Typewriter downloaded from the internet)

All the pieces on this layout were hand cut. I adore my Silhouette Cutting System but I realize that not every crafter out there has one so I specifically designed this background from strips of patterned paper. To check out my original tutorial on how to create a fun quilted chevron pattern make sure you stop by the Jillibean Soup blog.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Love how your layout turned out Summer! I'll have to go check out your tutorial at Jillibean Soup. Somehow I think I missed it on their blog... :)
