Scrapbook Confessions

It's confession time ... I have a drawer in my scrapbook room full of layouts I just don't like for one reason or another. Every so often I pull one of the layouts out and re-scrapbook the photos and the story. Layouts tend to end up in the drawer when I feel like I didn't do the story and photos justice when I first scrapbooked them. They aren't terribly old it's not like I am re-doing my early work. This layout was a re-do layout. The original layout just wasn't doing it for me and I really loved the photos. I am so glad I went back and re-scrapbooked these photos because I really LOVE the way it turned out the second time around. The original layout felt a little bland to me the photos now really jump right off the page.

The Stitching is super subtle. I was going for a whimsical look of spraying water. Each stitched spray is topped off with a circle accent - either a button or sticker (or both). Did you notice anything a bit different about my layout ... tilted photos **gasp** shocking I know. A few months back I mentioned how hard it was for me to not work in a straight line. I challenged myself to break away from my photos in a row habit. Okay I know the photos are still in a row but they aren't perfectly lined up and I really love the look. Baby steps right?

Have a fabulous scrappy weekend, enjoy the sun and take lots of photos.
